I'm a journalist for a national magazine looking to interview someone who has arranged to be a gestational surrogate for the first time. I would prefer someone who has already gone through the paperwork or at least has a relationship/arrangement with IPs--or who is pregnant currently. Finally, after almost two year, we got a positive test result April 22.  We were looking for a beta level between 300-500 so imagine my surprise when it came back at 2100!  It was the best phone call I have ever received, with the intended mom, crying and laughing on the other end!  After so many transfers and so much disappointment, I imagine she had prepared herself for the worst.   What a truly amazing moment.  The next blood test on the 29th was a little scarie...
