Currently, my husband and I are IPs, as my best friend (since age 12!)  has offered to be our GC.  We are planning implantation in September and a new little person in June of 2012!  :)

Hi Courtney!! I'm so excited for you!! Our GS is a close friend of mine too & she's starting her meds in September and transfer is in mid-October hoping for baby #2 in July '12! Ok, this is too ironic.. I see that you're about to start nursing school! I'm 32 and back in school myself to get my RN as well.. I'm starting my 2nd semester next month & work at a local hospital as a nurse tech.

I'm super excited for you and look forward to hearing more about your journey!

Thanks Kristen and Jace!  Things are moving along, albeit slowly right now.  We have selected our donor and (fortunately) she loves us, too and we are starting with her screening now.  Right now we're at the hurry up and wait part...sigh.....too bad I'm impatient!

In the meantime, I managed to finish my last prerequisite course before I apply to nursing schools for Sept. 2012, so very excited about that!

DH and I have slowly been telling our closest friends about what is happening in the next year, and I am so happy that everyone has been so supportive.  I feel like our extended family has just gotten closer....

@Courtney.. Congrats on finishing your last prereq for nursing school! I know how tough it is to finish prereqs and then wait wait wait to find out if you make it in the program.. best of luck to you with nursing & surrogacy.. I look forward to hearing more & keeping up with journey!
