Relationship with your surrogate

I am curious, for any of you who are former IPs and used a surrogate, what kind of relationship do you have with your surrogate now, after the baby or babies have been born? I still have a wonderful relationship with my former IPs, they send me photos, videos, and even let me visit. I hope they do all of this because they WANT to and not because they feel they HAVE to. I am looking into starting a 2nd journey with a new family and one of my stipulations is that they also allow me to stay in their lives. I feel like my biggest reward for being a surrogate is to see the family AFTER the babies are here and how happy they all are now. I love the twins like I do my nephews and can't imagine what things would be like if I never got to see them again.

We have a great relationship with our former GS! We were very fortunate to have a great relationship from the start and we still visit each other from time to time and I'm always sending her new pictures of our little angel. I definitely don't feel like I'm doing it because I HAVE to, but because I WANT to and wouldn't want it any other way! That's so great you have that kind of relationship with your FIPs. I have heard about the journeys that don't turn out so well, and that's so unfortunate.

Doing just lovely!

Thank you for your response. Hearing things from an IPs perspective is very helpful!
