Gay Couples living in the UK

Is it true that gay couples cannot bring their baby(s) home without both parent's names on the birth certificate?  Since I live in Florida, only one parent can be listed because gay adoption is illegal right now.  What is the UK law that prohibits someone's child from coming into the country without both the custodial parents names?

I'm not sure myself, but I know this is the current Surrogacy Law in the UK:

http://www.surrogacyuk.org/whatissurrogacyc.html

As of April 2010, an important legal change now enables gay men to
apply for a court order making them the joint legal parents if they have
a child through surrogacy. The court will trigger the re-issue of their
surrogate child's birth certificate so that it names them both as the
parents.

It means that gay dads who have a child through surrogacy can now use
the UK's surrogacy laws to become full and equal legal parents-and get a
birth certificate to prove it.

I know that may not answer your question entirely.. maybe the baby can go home to the dads/moms, but at first the certificate is not under their name until the court grants the switch...

Sorry for not replying sooner.  Thank you so much for your input. I do believe though, that both parents names have to be on the BC before bringing baby home.
