Hi everyone,

We am completely new to this whole process and we are looking for some guidance to be pointed in the right direction. So far we know we would like to do traditional surrogacy. But anything past that, we are clueless. Some of the most important questions we have contracts, insurance, money, and how to actually start the process. As for the contract, what type of lawyer do we need to go to when the time has come? And will they know what needs to be in the contract or is there a blanket basic contract that is used? For insurance, health insurance specifically, is that something that needs to be purchased, or does your own health insurance suffice? As for the money aspect, is everyone looking to get some form of retrobution or are there people that do this out of the kindness of thier heart? And how much on average is the normal person seeking? Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and good luck to you all!

Looking forward to being a new daddy!

I wish I could help.  I've been told that a contract isn't necessary/enforeable with TS, but you should definately talk to a surrogacy attorney before you do anything.
