Hi there! My sister is getting married and they want children. The problem is she cannot have any due to medical problems. I am concidering offering to carry their child for them but having two kids of my own I don't know how hard it may be to let go. Any advice from you that have done this befor? |

I haven't had our IPs baby yet, but as a mother to my own children and now being pregnant with someone else's child, it just feels different. It's as if my husband and I just know that this baby is not ours. It feels completely different. I wasn't sure myself how I'd feel, but thank God I feel no connection. Best of luck to you! That's great that you are considering doing this for your sister!! |

What a beautiful gift you will be giving your sister. I agree with HalieJ that you feel different when you're carrying someone else's child. You have to be in the right mind set. You and your husband have to go into this thinking that I am giving the most beautiful gift in the world to my sister. Surrogacy isn't for everyone, you have to feel emotionally that you and your husband will not have an attachment as if the child is yours, but as a child to your sister so that she can experience having a family just as you and your husband have been able to. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you. |
