Is it possible to do a PGD/sex selection and do a traditional surrogacy without having to do In Vitro? What i mean by this is that can i have my sperm seperated to where i had one certain sex available in a batch, and just have that batch just natural inserted into the surrogate? |

Few issues here. 1) inserting sperm into a GS means she is the mother. That can be a legal problem later. 2) sperm sorting is 75% accurate for boys and 88% for girls, that would require you fly to Faifax VA for Microsort on a monthly basis with a 20% monthly chance of pregnancy. Not cost effective.
For these reasons, most people use an Egg donor who is separate from the GS and test the actual embryos for 100% accuracy. Hope that helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any additional questions. |

Thank for the informational, it was very useful. Now if i was to have an egg and use PGD and fertilize the eggs then have them inserted into the GS. What medicines does the GS take after that point (does she have to do IVF)? |

yes IVF because 1 egg has only a 30% chance of beeing good, and 90% chance of fertilizing 1/2 chance of having right gender ect..Since you have to use all the technology anyway, why not take some meds and make this a successful IVF? Hope that helps. |
