I'm 48 and tried IVF a few years back with no luck. My tubes are blocked, but ovarian cysts may have been what interfered with the eggs taking hold, even though they were healthy and I produced 5-6 each session. (This back when I was 44) I'm curious to find out if at 48, IF my eggs are still viable, is there a facility that accepts older women and places their eggs in a younger surrogate to carry? I'm sorry if my use of terms may not be right, not sure of the lingo. It may be just a pipe dream, but I have heard of older women still getting pregnant and carrying to term. Even though I can't technically get pregnant, can someone else carry my egg to term at my age? |
