I have an IUD right now (Mirena) and am possibly going to be a TS this spring. I am wondering how long before I start meds should I have it removed. I still have a regular period, just a little lighter than before, and I also know that I am still ovulating because I can feel it. So it doesn't seem to have made much of a difference except maybe thining the lining a bit. I've only had it since June of 08. I will be going in this month for my pap but am not really wanting to have it removed until the IM has made her decision to use my eggs, because my husband is coming home from a 7 month deployment the end of this month and I would rather not be troubled with other contraceptions with a higher risk of getting pregnant. Thanks for any help on this question. Jenn |

I would have it removed with the period of your treatment cycle. Hope that helps. Best of luck. |

So no need to do it before we start treatment- great. Now I don't have to worry about getting pregnant with our own baby before I get to have hers. Thank you Jenn |
