Title: Hopeful for baby #2 some day!

Blog Entry: So a lot has been going on in my life over the past year.. I decided to have a complete career change and follow my heart and go into a field I have always been interested in... nursing ! My mom is a nurse and when I was in high school she went back to school to get her BSN and I was always fasinated by the medical field and everything she was studying. In 1997, computers were "the future" in my eyes (and my dad's) and that is the field I decided to get my BBA in. After 7 years of working in the computer field, I've decided that my heart just isn't into it... don't get me wrong, I love computers, but I just don't see it as my profession full time (sitting behind a computer ALL day).. In 1997 and 2000 I had 3 open-heart surgeries, and during the midst of hospital stays and learning about cardiology and my personal issues, I became fasinated with cardiology . So, here I am back in college to become an RN and specialize in the field of cardiology! I'm excited about my new venture and know that I'll truly enjoy my career once I become a nurse. In a year or two I truly hope that we'll be able to have our 2nd child through the beautiful gift of surrogacy. We have 4 frozen embryos just waiting to be thawed, lol! Right now Braxton is 18 months and even though I'm in school, I have a lot of time with him and that means so much to me. I am so excited that we have a wonderful friend who has volunteered to possibly be our surrogate when we are ready. What an angel! This would be her first time, so there will still be lots of questions (we've talked about some)... But, just knowing that someone wants to do something like this for you, is just a blessing and I TRULY hope everything works out one day!! In the mean time.. I'm studying away and spending as much time with my family as I can outside of school! Ok, off to the library I go, ha ha!
