About Me
I'm a proud mother of a beautiful 3 year old boy (4 in December)given to me through the beautiful gift of surrogacy. My husband and I have been together for 14 years. After 3 heart surgeries.. mechanical valve replacement, ASD repair, life-long blood thinners (coumadin), being told I'll never have children, etc.. I feel like I'm finally climbing through the hills & mountains and I see the rainbow! We have an amazing friend who offered to carry for us (Amanda_GS is her screenname on here). We transferred 2 frozen embryos October 19, 2011 (my hubby's bday) and both have decided to camp out in Amanda's oven for 8 months. We are so blessed and just over the moon right now!!

How how exciting! I wish you ALL the best through this again. I hope that things all work so that our carriers are expecting at nearly the same time. It would be fantastic to chat with another IM through all of this; especially one who has "been there, done that". :)  I'm just sitting here smiling now and wishing you the very best.


So I'm guessing you must be hoping for a girl this time?  Yes, its all in God's hands but we can't help but hope. For us, we're hoping for a boy.

We are planning on going through David Cole too and I've even spoken to Jami as well. It's good to hear positve feed back about the firm as well.


I just spoke to a possible carrier on the phone today and I really liked her. I'm just hoping she liked me/us as well. I just keep thinking we might be able to do this transfer by mid may! I hope, I hope, I hope!


If you don't mind me asking, how much contact do you have with your previous carrier?  How did things go after the delivery?

Well, I found a woman who use to be a GS but now matches couples. She works part-time at the infertility clinic too so she is very familar with everything. Hi! It's been a while since I've checked the site becaue I thought we had found a carrier but now we're back to the beginning. 


I was hoping to find someone in the DFW area so I could go to appointments but it seems difficult.


Curious, was your carrier near you or some great distance? I just wonder how hard that is or not.

I think I've found a carrier but she's not been checked out by the doctor yet. If you don't mind me asking a few questions...?


How did you go about finding a GS? How long did you search? When did you know "she's he one"? Did you have certain criteria that would be ideal for you?
